Citizen Advocates Launches Additional Website Showcasing the Strength of its Provider Network

New platform highlights collective impact of affiliated organizations serving communities across Upstate New York

Citizen Advocates is expanding its digital presence with the launch of an additional website designed to tell the story of the provider Network it leads and the collective impact of organizations working together to serve communities across Upstate New York.

Citizen Advocates will retain its name, public identity and role as an independent provider. The broader affiliation of organizations it leads is collectively known as the Daxia Integrated Health Network.

The new website, daxianetwork.org, serves as a central resource for learning about the Network, its affiliated organizations and the shared impact they have on the communities they serve. In addition, the new site provides a direct link to the websites of each affiliate in the Network.

Along with Citizen Advocates as the parent organization, the Daxia Integrated Health Network includes St. Joseph’s Addiction Treatment & Recovery Centers; Community, Work & Independence (CWI); North Country Freedom Homes; Harison Place; and the Fieldstone Foundation.

Together, these organizations provide a broad continuum of services for mental health, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disabilities, housing stability, employment, transportation and supports that promote individual health.

“Our organizations are already familiar and trusted partners in their communities,” said James Button, President and CEO of Citizen Advocates and the Daxia Integrated Health Network. “What the new website helps illustrate is how those organizations work together behind the scenes to strengthen services, expand opportunities and improve outcomes for the people we serve.”

The website highlights the Network’s shared mission, collective impact and commitment to community-based care while providing information about its leadership, affiliated organizations and long-term vision for the future.

“For our workforce, this isn’t about changing who you are or the organization you represent,” Mr. Button said. “It’s about recognizing the power of what we’ve built together. Every affiliate contributes unique strengths, and the Network allows us to support one another while remaining focused on the communities where we work and live.”

Unlike many healthcare networks formed through consolidation, Daxia was built to preserve and strengthen community-based organizations. Each affiliate maintains its own history, culture and mission while benefiting from shared knowledge, operational support and opportunities for growth.

The website also serves as a platform for communicating the value of affiliation to other mission-driven organizations that may be exploring opportunities for partnership.

“As communities face increasingly complex challenges, collaboration becomes more important than ever,” Mr. Button said. “The website helps demonstrate that organizations don’t have to sacrifice their identity to benefit from working together. Our affiliates remain deeply connected to their communities while gaining access to expertise, resources and support that help them thrive.”
