A generous donation has been made to the Fieldstone Foundation, thanks to the collective efforts of two community-supported events held this summer.
Through the combined efforts of Ride for a Voice through a 5K Walk held in May, and the Fourth Annual Motorcycle Ride held on Sept. 11, raised a total of $8,000. The funds, in turn, are being donated to the Citizen Advocates Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center in Ogdensburg. The Fieldstone Foundation will work with clinic staff to identify different ways to honor the donation, which was raised to benefit suicide awareness.
The group raising the money chose the Ogdensburg clinic in support of the much-needed services the facility has to offer the community.
“This group and their work are what makes the North Country an incredible place to live,” said Jennifer Bilow, Executive Director of the Fieldstone Foundation. “The foundation is honored to accept their donation in recognition of the great hope the Ogdensburg Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinic provides to the residents of St. Lawrence County, and beyond.”
